ANLC support

Start with the network in front of you.

Most discovery problems come down to reachability, permissions or how the local network handles broadcast and multicast traffic.

QUICK CHECKS

Before sending a support request.

These checks solve many first-connection problems without changing any fixture settings.

1

Use the correct network

Confirm the phone or tablet is connected to the Wi-Fi or network that can reach the Art-Net, sACN or RDM gateway.

2

Allow local-network access

On iPhone or iPad, make sure Local Network permission is enabled for ANLC RDM Finder. On Android, allow the network permissions requested by the app.

3

Check isolation and VLAN rules

Guest Wi-Fi, client isolation, firewalls and VLAN boundaries can block the broadcast or multicast traffic used by discovery protocols.

4

Verify the node first

If the app can see the network node but not downstream RDM fixtures, confirm RDM is enabled on the correct physical output and universe.

COMMON QUESTIONS

RDM Finder support

The app does not find any nodes.

Check that the mobile device and node can reach one another on the local network. Some access points suppress broadcast or multicast between wireless clients and wired devices. Try disabling guest/client isolation and verify the subnet, VLAN and firewall configuration.

The node is visible, but RDM fixtures are not.

Confirm that RDM is enabled on the relevant node output, that the correct universe/output is selected, and that the physical DMX/RDM line is healthy. Different node manufacturers can expose RDM discovery differently, so include the node make and model when contacting support.

Why does iOS ask for Local Network access?

RDM Finder needs local-network access to discover and communicate with lighting equipment on your network. Denying that permission can prevent discovery or device communication.

Does RDM Finder require an ANLC account?

No ANLC account is required for the normal local commissioning workflow. The app is designed to communicate directly with compatible equipment on the local network.

What should I include in a bug report?

Please include the app version, phone or tablet model, operating-system version, node manufacturer/model, network layout, the steps that reproduce the problem, and screenshots or packet captures when relevant. Do not send passwords, Wi-Fi keys or other secrets.
