RDM FINDER
App privacy
RDM Finder is designed to discover and communicate with compatible lighting equipment on the local network. The normal commissioning workflow does not require an ANLC user account.
Local network information
To perform discovery and device communication, the app may process technical information available on the local network, such as IP addresses, device identifiers, node information, RDM unique identifiers, fixture information, universes and supported configuration parameters. This information is processed locally on your device and exchanged with the lighting equipment you connect to, to provide discovery, inspection and configuration. ANLC Lighting does not receive or upload this app data to its servers.
Local network permission
On Apple platforms, the operating system may ask you to allow access to devices on your local network. This permission is required for discovery and communication features that depend on the local network. You can change the permission in the device settings.
Cloud accounts, advertising and tracking
The normal local commissioning workflow does not require an ANLC account. RDM Finder does not send app data to ANLC Lighting or third-party analytics or advertising services. It does not use your app data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Local storage and deletion
App data stays on your device until you remove it. To remove the app’s locally stored data, use the operating system’s option to delete the app and its data; on Android you can also clear app storage. Offloading an app may preserve its data. Any exported copies or device backups you keep must be managed separately. Removing app data does not undo configuration changes made to lighting equipment.
Paid download and in-app purchases
RDM Finder is planned as a paid app. The price and any in-app purchase options will be shown in the relevant store or purchase screen before you buy. Payments are handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, as applicable, under that store’s privacy policy. ANLC Lighting does not receive your payment card details. You can manage purchases and request purchase assistance through the store used for payment.
Information you choose to send
If you contact ANLC Lighting for support and choose to send screenshots, logs, packet captures or other diagnostic files, those files may contain technical network or device information. They are handled as part of the support request described below.
EMAIL & SUPPORT
When you contact ANLC Lighting
When you email [email protected] or [email protected], we receive the email address you use and the contents of your message. If you include diagnostic material, we also receive the information contained in those files.
This information is used to respond to your enquiry, investigate technical issues, keep a reasonable support history and protect the service from abuse. If you send a support email, your address, message and any attachments leave your device and are processed by the email providers used for the anlc-lighting.com domain to deliver and store the correspondence. This is separate from the app’s local operation. Service providers handling this information on our behalf must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements.
Please do not include passwords, Wi-Fi keys, private keys or other secrets in support messages.
YOUR RIGHTS
Privacy requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights relating to personal information we hold about you, including rights to request access, correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive information about how your data is handled.
You can make a privacy request by emailing [email protected]. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request before acting on it.
RETENTION & SECURITY
How long information is kept
Support correspondence and diagnostic material are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, investigate recurring technical problems, maintain necessary business records, or meet legal obligations. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for these purposes. To request deletion of correspondence or diagnostic files, email [email protected]. Identify the enquiry and files concerned; do not send additional sensitive information. If information must be retained to meet a legal obligation, we will explain that when responding.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information under ANLC Lighting’s control. No internet or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
